About

Principled by experience. Aligned in purpose.

Davis Chase Homes is led by principals who bring complementary judgment to the work: development perspective, capital discipline, construction experience, and a long view of how high-end homes actually perform after completion.

Stuart Schultz / Principal

The founder’s drive.

Stuart brings the financial discipline of a banker and the creative energy of an entrepreneur to the work of building. What drives him is the building itself — a conviction that the best Greenwich homes should honor the town’s character without retreating from how families actually live now. Each Davis Chase project starts from that thesis: modern in spirit, rooted in place, and shaped by the underwriting rigor of a finance background and the instincts of a founder.

Jeff Woerz / Principal

The builder’s standard.

Jeff is a premium Greenwich builder. He runs construction directly on the projects he leads, holding each to a standard set by years of running AVMRE — his firm, which manages more than 200 high-end homes across Greenwich and Connecticut and represents owners through major renovations. That work has given him an unusually direct understanding of what makes a luxury home perform over time. The builds at Davis Chase Homes reflect it from the first decision forward.

The Broader Practice

A feedback loop few builders have.

Beyond development, the broader practice manages more than 200 high-end homes across Fairfield County. That work gives Davis Chase Homes a direct view into home performance: what fails, what ages well, which systems are serviceable, which materials hold up, which layouts support staff and guests, and where owners later regret decisions that should have been resolved before framing.

That intelligence shapes the firm’s long-view approach. Every decision is considered not only as a design or construction choice, but as something a homeowner will live with, maintain, and experience over time.

Recognition

The proof point: 1 Indian Chase Drive.

The firm earned its reputation with 1 Indian Chase Drive, a 1913 waterfront estate Davis Chase Homes developed into a contemporary seven-bedroom, 11,465 SF residence and sold in 2023 for $22.9 million, among the top Greenwich sales of the year.

Recipient of three 2023 HOBI Awards for the project, including Best Residential Remodel ($5–$7M), Best Kitchen by a Builder, and Best Primary Bath by a Builder.

Collaborators

Relationships that raise the standard.

Davis Chase Homes operates through focused partnerships with architects, designers, consultants, and craftspeople selected for the needs of each project. The composition of the team changes with the site, the client, and the architectural ambition. At Spring Farms, Workshop/APD is leading conceptual architecture and design direction for the four-parcel offering.

Just as important, the firm works with deep, longstanding relationships among many of the best local trades in the area — including electricians, millworkers, plumbers, roofers, landscapers, HVAC professionals, and AV professionals. That network is part of the edge: trusted execution, better coordination, and a standard that carries through the last layers of the build.

Great homes are not designed in a vacuum. They are designed by people who understand how homes are actually lived in, not just on delivery day.
